Maryam Pezeshki MD MRCOG

Miss Pezeshki is an experienced Consultant Gynaecologist who practices at Milton Keynes Foundation Trust and also has a private practice at BMI The Saxon Clinic, Milton Keynes. 


After obtaining her medical degree, she had research and training in obstetrics and gynaecology leading to a MD degree. Subsequently she completed specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Oxford and was appointed to a consultant position at Milton Keynes NHS Foundation Trust in 2012. Maryam has a special interest in urogynaecology and is currently the lead for urogynaecology services at Milton Keynes NHS Foundation Trust.

Miss Pezeshki has practiced Obstetrics and Gynaecology for 19 years and has extensive experience in management of gynaecological and urogyanecology conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence and heavy periods. She is also experienced in advanced laparoscopic (Keyhole) surgery and can offer laparoscopic surgery of endometriosis, ovarian cysts and hysterectomy. She is also expert in managing heavy periods and uterine fibroids by hysteroscopy procedures.


In addition, she is experienced to manage recurrent prolapse and vaginal vault prolapse. She conducts urodynamic studies to investigate the bladder prior to incontinence and prolapse surgeries and leads a pelvic floor clinic in a multidisciplinary team in order to manage pelvic floor dysfunction. She regularly audits her practice based on national guidelines.


Maryam is actively involved in research and is currently the principal investigator for national trial of single incision mini tapes (SIMs) at Milton Keynes Hospital. She is also instrumental in teaching and training of junior doctors in urogynaecology practice.
